- Results from the 2004 Spring NESSA Regattas can be found on the NESSA website. http://nessa-sailing.org/index.htm
- An early reminder. NESSA dues must be paid before a school can compete in any NESSA event. For schools that use purchase order systems, that can sometimes take over a month to process. Here is the procedure.
- To renew your NESSA Membership for 2004-2005, please do the following:
- Log onto the NESSA Directory. Update any information that needs changing. (http://highschoolsailingusa.org/directory/district.asp?ID=NESSA)
- Download a 2004-2005 Invoice from the NESSA website. http://nessa-sailing.org/membership.htm
- Have invoice signed by school Principal, Headmaster, Athletic Director or Student Activities Head.
- Mail to the address on the form with a check for $100 made payable to: NESSA
- To become a NESSA member for the first time, log onto the ISSA website and follow the directions for registration. (http://highschoolsailingusa.org/directory/addnew.asp)
- Detailed information on Fall NESSA events and other high school sailing events will be e-mailed to the NESSA list and posted on the NESSA website as soon as they are made available. For planning purposes, here are some dates to keep in mind.
Tentative NESSA Fall Peg Dates:
- Sunday 12 September 2004. Polar Bear Open*(Fleet Racing) @ Bowdoin College.
- Sunday 26 September 2004. NESSA Single-handed Championship (Healy Trophy). Location: TBD
- Saturday 2 October 2004. Casco Bay Fall Open* (Fleet Racing) @ Southern Maine.
- Sunday 10 October 2004. NESSA Fall Funfest* (Gleekman Trophy) at CBI.
- Saturday 16- Sunday 17 October 2004: ISSA Single-handed Championship (Cressy Trophy) at Lake Minnetonka, MN.
- Sunday 7 November 2004 NESSA Annual Meeting. Location: Tabor Academy. Scheduling meeting at 0930. Annual meeting at 1030.
- Saturday 13 – Sunday 14 November 2004: ISSA Great Oaks regatta at Southern YC (New Orleans, LA) * = Great Oaks Qualifier.
- Great Oaks Regatta. The NOR for the Great Oaks has been posted on the ISSA website. (http://highschoolsailingusa.org/future.htm). When you read it, you will see that the regatta has opened up the eligibility requirements making it available to more schools. The NESSA officers have decided to use the following criteria for qualification. Schools eligible for entry to the Great Oaks Regatta can qualify in two ways:
A. Being the first eligible school, who has not already qualified, at a qualifying regatta.
