NESSA Baker Qualifier Info

Good morning,

The NESSA Officers meet over the weekend to finalize the plan for the NESSA Baker Qualifiers.  A four-school double round robin will be held at Ida Lewis YC and hosted by St. George's School on Sunday May 9, 2021.  

Participating School:

  • Brunswick School
  • Fairfield Prep- Withdrew 5/6/21
  • Falmouth HS (ME)
  • Green Farms Academy

Format details:

  • Format: Double triple round robin
  • Coaches meeting will be at 2000 on Saturday May 8th
  • Report time on Sunday May 9 will be at 1000.
  • Boats will be Z420 provided by SG.  There will be no boat rotation.
  • Per NESSA rules, team size is limited to 8 sailors and 1 coach.
  • Regatta will be umpired.
  • SIs should be available by the end of the week.

The Officers felt strongly that qualifiers needed to be completed two weeks prior to the Baker to allow the winners to make proper logistical arrangements to get to Miami, FL thus ensuring that NESSA as properly represented.
