January 16th marks the start of the second semester in High School sailing. While the wind and weather this week are not conducive to starting the spring season in New England, there are a few things to consider this month in anticipation of the season.

Procedural Rules: The ISSA Board approved the 2025-2028 ISSA Procedural Rules last night on our monthly conference call. They will be posted on the Resource page of ISSA Website by January 16th. Hardcopies will be mailed to all member schools in the next few months. The rules have been substantially rewritten so everyone should get eyes on them before the start of the season.

NESSA Spring Regattas
NORs posted by February 1, 2025 HOPEFULLY. Please note that it took longer than expected to complete the revision of the ISSA PR. Now that they have been approved the Rules Committee will turn towards a rewrite of the Fleet Racing and Team Racing Notice of Race Templates. This might cause a delay in the posting of the Spring 2025 NORs for NESSA regattas.
Registration opens on March 1, 2025
Registration closed on April 1, 2025
Enjoy the weekend. Perhaps take in the New England Boats Show in Boston.
